Terms of use

These terms set out how you may use the Fabric Printers Studio website and place orders for printed fabric and related services. By using the site or submitting an order, you agree to these terms and to any quoted specifications for your job.

1. Website Use and Accepted Conduct

This website is provided for customers seeking fabric printing, fabric sourcing, finishing, packing and courier services. You may browse public pages, send enquiries and submit artwork or order details, provided you use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation.

You must not misuse the website by sending harmful code, false information, spam, or content that infringes another party’s rights. Any attempt to copy service information, client materials or layout for commercial use without written consent is prohibited.

  • Use the site only for lawful business or personal enquiries.
  • Do not submit unlawful, defamatory or offensive material.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised access to systems, files or email accounts.

2. Quotes, Orders and File Approval

Quotes are based on the information supplied, including fabric type, print size, quantity, finishing and delivery details. A quote is valid for the period stated on the quotation, or if no period is stated, for 7 days unless withdrawn sooner because of fabric stock changes, price adjustments or production constraints.

An order is only confirmed once we have accepted the job in writing, received any required deposit or full payment, and approved the final artwork or production files. Colour matching, repeat pattern setup and strike-off sampling may require additional approval before the full run begins.

  • Check all artwork, spelling, measurements and placement before approval.
  • Final responsibility for submitted files remains with the customer.
  • Changes after approval may affect price, lead time and stock availability.

3. Pricing, Payment and Production Timing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand and may include or exclude VAT depending on the quotation. Payment terms will be stated on the invoice or quote. Where a deposit is required, production will not start until the deposit clears. Any balance must be settled before dispatch unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Production times are estimates and may change due to artwork revisions, stock delays, load-shedding, machine maintenance or courier delays. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines, but time is not of the essence unless we confirm this in writing for a specific order.

  • Late payment may delay printing, finishing or dispatch.
  • Rush jobs, after-hours work and small batch runs may carry extra charges.
  • Quoted lead times exclude weekends and public holidays.

4. Printing Tolerances, Colour and Fabric Variations

Printed fabric can vary from sample to production run because of base cloth differences, ink absorption, heat settings and batch variation. We take care to produce accurate results, however exact colour matching to a screen, phone image or unapproved file cannot be guaranteed. Coastal humidity in Cape Town can also affect some materials during handling and finishing.

Minor tolerances may apply to repeat alignment, cutting position, hemming and finished dimensions. These are normal in textile production and do not automatically constitute a defect. Where a strike-off sample has been approved, the full order will be produced to match that approved sample as closely as practical.

  • We are not liable for variations caused by uncalibrated screens or poor source artwork.
  • Natural fibre movement and fabric shrinkage may affect final measurements.
  • Clients should allow for a small margin when ordering metres for curtains or upholstery.

5. Dispatch, Courier and Risk

We offer packing and courier services from Ndabeni, Cape Town to clients nationwide, including Woodstock, Salt River, Observatory, Montague Gardens and Century City. Once goods are handed to the courier or collected from our premises, risk in transit passes to the customer to the extent allowed by law.

Please inspect delivered goods as soon as possible and report any visible damage, shortage or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after that period may still be assessed, but delayed reporting can limit our ability to recover costs from the carrier.

  • Ensure the delivery address and contact number are complete and correct.
  • Couriers may require someone to sign for the parcel.
  • Missed deliveries, address errors or storage charges are for the customer’s account.

6. Intellectual Property and Customer Content

All website text, product descriptions, logos, graphics and production methods remain the property of Fabric Printers Studio or the relevant rights holder. You may not reproduce, resell or distribute our material without written permission.

When you send artwork, repeat patterns, logos or design files, you confirm that you have the right to use them and that they do not infringe copyright, trade marks or moral rights. You grant us a limited licence to use those files only for the purpose of quoting, printing, finishing and fulfilling your order.

  • We may refuse files that are unlawful, offensive or technically unsuitable.
  • We are not responsible for disputes between customers and third parties over ownership of supplied designs.
  • Finished goods may be photographed for internal records, unless you ask us not to in writing.

7. Liability, Complaints and Legal Updates

To the fullest extent allowed under South African law, Fabric Printers Studio and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect loss, lost profit, loss of business opportunity or consequential damage arising from use of the website or from a production delay. Our total liability for any proven claim will not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

If you have a complaint, please use our contact form with your order number, description of the issue and clear photographs where relevant. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the current version will apply from the date it is published on the website.

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
