What to send with your quote request
The more detail you send, the quicker we can price the job properly. Please include your fabric type, finished size, quantity, delivery town and what the print will be used for, whether that is curtains, flags, upholstery or garments. If you are unsure about the fabric, we can help with sourcing and advice on what suits the job best.
- Measurements in metres, centimetres or millimetres
- Artwork files, sketches or clear photos
- Colour references if matching is important
- Quantity needed for a small batch or bulk run
- Your suburb or town for courier planning
How to prepare artwork and files
Good file setup saves time and helps avoid rework. Send print-ready artwork where possible, with text outlined and images at suitable resolution for fabric printing. If your design needs repeating across the fabric, tell us the repeat size and whether the print must line up across seams or panels. If you do not have a finished file, send what you do have and we will check it before print.
- Use clear file names so we can match the right design to the right job
- Include Pantone references or sample photos if you need colour matching
- Tell us if the artwork must repeat directionally or randomly
- Flag any fine text, small logos or detailed line work early
Sampling, strike-offs and colour checks
For new designs or sensitive colour work, a strike-off is often the best place to start. This gives you a printed sample on the chosen fabric before we run the full order. It is useful for curtains in a client home, upholstery for a lounge or branded fabric where colour needs to be close across multiple batches. We check the file, print method and fabric behaviour before you commit to the full run.
If your order needs matching across different items or a reprint later on, keep in mind that fabric bases and ink behaviour can shift slightly from one batch to the next, so approval on a sample helps avoid surprises.
Lead times, quantities and courier delivery
Lead time depends on the size of the run, the fabric selected and whether sampling is needed first. Small batch printing can move quickly while larger orders, hemming or complex finishing may take a little longer. We will confirm timing once we have the specs and artwork. Orders are prepared at our Ndabeni studio and couriered nationwide, including Cape Town suburbs and outlying towns.
- Urgent jobs should be flagged in the first message
- Bulk print runs need more production and drying time
- Courier to remote areas may add an extra day or two
- We pack carefully for fabric rolls, folded goods and finished items
Common jobs we quote every week
We work with both homeowners and businesses, so the quote process changes a little depending on the end use. Some customers need a single set of custom curtains for a flat in Century City, while others need flags for an event, upholstery for a restaurant in Woodstock or repeat fabric for a small fashion label in Salt River. Clear notes on use and quantity help us price the job fairly.
- Custom curtains and soft furnishings
- Flags, banners and event fabric
- Upholstery panels and interior projects
- Fashion lengths sold by the metre
- Brand fabrics for retail and trade clients
Who checks your quote request
Your request is reviewed by our production and client team so the right person can answer the right questions. Charné Botha checks design details, Megan Naidoo handles sales queries, Anika van Wyk and Siyabonga Dlamini look at production requirements and Thabo Molefe manages packing and delivery planning. Luvuyo Mbeki oversees the studio and helps where larger jobs need extra coordination. If anything is missing, we will ask for it before pricing is finalised so there are no delays later.
That means you can send one message and let us sort the rest, whether the job is for a home in Observatory or a trade order going out to clients across South Africa.
